Easily among David Lynch's best movies (Inland Empire is still his best, IMO), but obviously not for those looking for an easy watch. All of Lynch's trademarks are here--a constant sense of dread, alternate realities/personas, a near impenetrable mystery--good stuff if you're into heavy surrealism.
Not so much if you're not.
