Review of Lost Highway (1997) by Laimis Z — 16 Mar 2009
A real oddball isn't it? but still so haunting and so sublime. a love story, about obsession, desire, and fantasy. very typical david lynch. only he knows the correct answer. but he does allow you to get lost in his creation - this maze of suspicion and nightmare, and where nothing is what it seems, and there's no logic whatsoever.
still what is so great is that even though it is hard to get, u still know that this is supposed to be like that, nothing seems off in an already offworld. it's a very addictively-sensual-slow-moving-yet-has-some-awesome-scenes-but-still-hard-to-understand kind of film.
remember, it's on purpose like this:).
