Review of Lost Highway (1997) by Aaron C — 24 May 2009
I think it's a real testament to David Lynch's expertise when you don't have a damn clue as to what's going on and still sit through his movie. I was compelled to finish this movie while having no stock in anything that was happening.
Make it make sense, David Lynch! Well, he didn't. He made no attempt to. He said "This is my story. If you don't get it, too bad." There's some really weird casting choices, too.
We start out at Bill Pullman, then we go to Robert Blake, Gary Busey, and then Richard fucking Pryor. I don't get this movie. There's a time loop, transformations, and characters start out dead then are alive and then die again.
Shit. My head hurts, and I don't think it was the rocking soundtrack.
