Review of Lost Highway (1997) by Kenneth L — 12 Apr 2011
I saw this film back in high school and liked it because it was shot really cool, was non-linear, and was very creepy. But after watching Twin Peaks, I figured it was worth rewatching and it definitely was.
It still is very hard to make sense out of and I really don't know if anyone has a great explanation (schizophrenia, seems to be a popular idea), but I prefer that he killed his wife and lover and is on death row and made a alternate reality to justify what he did.
It is really tough to explain, but I really enjoyed the film. The direction by David Lynch is fantastic, the music is great, the acting is good and creepy too. Overall a film that is definitely not for everyone, as it doesn't really all make sense or is explained, but definitely makes you think and is worth it if you like those types of films.
