Review of Lost Continent (1951) by James-Masaki R — 28 Feb 2011
When the longest highlight of a science fiction-lost world-dinosaur movie is a scene where people are rock climbing, you know your movie is in serious need of padding out crap material... And was that rock climbing boring.
But apparently the producers were not aware of good editing technique or special effects either. A lizard in close-up does not look like a huge dinosaur! And even with 'stars' like Hugh Beaumont, Cesar Romero, and the exotic one-named Aquanetta, the movie can't be saved in the acting area either.
It's mostly a boring thrillride. The threat of the missing atomic rocket just does not seem a threat for anyone watching. What a classic in bad movies!
