Review of Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008) by Dan L — 03 Sep 2008
What a depressing barometer of our times this film is. More in-your-face, more gore, more tits, more vampires, yet less menacing, less characterisation, less humor, less depth, resulting in a more bland copy of the original.
The acting is far from sharp. The lead vampire, Shane, seems to have been taking acting lessons from Hayden Christensen and the other characters are just as mono-dimensional.
Edgar Frog is the only decent character in it and, for a fleeting 30 seconds at the end, we see the film that should've been: Edgar Frog vs Sam, Corey vs Corey.
Not only is it a disappointing film, its creators knowingly made a disappointing film.
