Review of Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008) by Andy W — 04 Jan 2009
This straight- to-video sequel steals some plot points from the original Lost Boys and re-uses them. The story is altered a bit in an attempt to make the sequel seem fresh and new which it isn't. The original Lost Boys movie is also, sporadically referenced in the sequel.
Corey Feldman returns as Edgar Frog, not that it really matters. At this point he'll probably take anything he can get since he doesn't have anything else better to do. Feldman probably begged to be in the film out of desperation.
The movie contains terrible acting, horrendous dialogue and a low quality script. Lost Boys 2: The Tribe adds nothing of any merit to its predecessor. It's just a cheaply made straight-to-video production trying to capitalize on the original Lost Boys cult film status and fan base. The only thing the movie succeeds at is being absolutely abysmal.
