Review of Lost Boys: The Thirst (2010) by Jonathan B — 23 Oct 2010
After the dismal second Lost Boys movie this third outing is considerably better but still lacks that spark of the first. This you could construe as a stupid B grade vampire movie but it is entertaining and worth seeing if you like the Vampire genre.
More gore and action and more of a story line than the last film and the continuing story of Edgar Frog and his vampire killing adventures. This in many ways pays tribute to the first with many flashbacks to the first film and it blatantly pays tribute to the late Corey Haim.
Say what you will this is a silly mindless journey and it seems to be cashing in on the Twilight hype, well than why not?. Although The Lost Boys might of inspired the Twilight franchise because The Lost Boys was the Twilight of the 80's, my generation.
Why dont they make an actual proper sequel to the first film with a big budget and a well written script.
