Review of Lost Boys: The Thirst (2010) by Ken D — 29 Jan 2011
I'm not going to try and lie by putting forth the argument that Lost Boys: The Thirst is a very good film, per se, but instead argue that it is not a very bad film.
We all love the original The Lost Boys, right? So surely we should all be happy to see more of the same characters, in a convincing sequel reality that continues the lore set in the first film. It may not appear like Corey Feldman is doing a very good job on the acting front, but he's really just carrying on the stereotypical faux action hero role (a tad John Rambo, methinks.) that he portrayed in his teens as Edgar Frog, and not doing too bad a job of it.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that this movie is pretty much only for those who loved the Lost Boys enough to sit through The Tribe. Sure, it's hammy as hell, but don't try and tell me the original wasn't cheesy. Take it with a pinch of salt/garlic, sit back and enjoy the ride the Frog Brothers have in store for you. I did.
