This movie deals mostly with the exquisite pain of losing your first love. I don't like how Paulie tried to change herself into a boy to get Tory to be w/ her again, but I thought the "duel" scene and the scene at the end w/ the rooftop and the hawk was very appropriate.
Because it really isn't until we've had that loss and unbearable sadness that we can begin to be free again.
