I'm not aware of any better effort by any actor in the past 25 years. I canâ(TM)t remember such a powerful movie with such remarkable acting in many, many years. As Paulie, Piper Perabo puts in one of the most emotionally riveting performances of the past decade (or 2 or 3).

As the lead, she perfectly displays an emotional range that is incredible given her youth. And she provides the nuances that make each scene and emotion credible, from the highest of joy to the depths of despair and depression.
