Review of Lords of Dogtown (2005) by Adam J — 24 Mar 2008
I have wanted to see this movie for ages and it didn't disappoint! Having not seen the docu 'Dogtown & Z-Boys', I can't really compare it but this film tells a fascinating story about the growth of skateboarding in the 70s, as well as the boundaries set by friendships and the different paths taken by each of the skaters.
Really loved Hirsch in this, he never ceases to amaze me and Hardwicke did another amazing job directing after her debut with Thirteen. Great film.
