Finally saw this a few more times, and I really love it. I mean, it's cheesy at times and the young actors can be pretty overexaggerated and melodramatic. But other than that, it's great. Good story (written by Peralta himself) based on his documentary of the same vein.
There's a great late-1970s feel to it for sure. Complete with a Black Flag show (playing Nervous Breakdown no less). I've come to realize that old school skateboarding impresses me so much more than new stuff.
