Review of Lords of Dogtown (2005) by Levi J — 05 Aug 2009
Really entertaining movie about the kids that sparked the skateboard craze/culture. Amazing performances all around, and a solid script. Heath Ledger and Emile Hirsch set themselves apart from the rest of the pack, but that's pretty standard for those two.
I'm not really a fan of skateboarding, nor did I ever really get in to it, but I found myself loving this movie because of it's spirit and heart. Highly recommended for informational viewing, remembering a legend, or if you're a skateboarder!
