Emile Hirsch is kind of enchanting in this. Clearly the stand out here. That's not exactly a surprise though. He's one of those actors that you don't question in pretty much any role. He can own anything.
I mean ANYTHING. Heath Ledger is also good here. Took me a while to realize that it was him with all the make-up and sunglasses. The movie was just okay. Your standard tale of success and failure ruining friendships and lives.
Blah blah blah. But the cast is all so good that it makes the movie seem better than it is. Hence the massive rating disparity between Flixster users and critics.
