Review of Lords of Dogtown (2005) by Greg P — 10 Dec 2011
The period details are excellent and Ledger and Rasuk are both good enough to carry this sort-of needless remake of Stacy Peralta's excellent original documentary. The script might not always be as sharp as real-life, but Hardwicke is a hip enough director to capture the youthful energy and mood of social rebellion, amongst these outsiders who unbeknown to them would later come to define popular 'Underground/Indie' culture.
