Review of Lord of War (2005) by Ryan Gibbons — 15 Jul 2010

Nic Cage Acting? really!, well.....kind of he's actually fairly decent in this film that seems to be a about a little of everything and has no idea what it's actually about. One thing that I really admired about this film is the atmosphere, it's got such a strange yet haunting feel that is also warm at the same time, it's a very odd movie experience to say the least, it's also got pretty awesome cinematography.

Cage is an absolutely terrible actor and he is the last person I would want narrating anything he's got one of the most irritating voices in the business, however his irritating voice was exactly what makes the movie work, it gave me a sense of discomfort which only added to the experience, I know that it wasn't even acting because it's his normal voice but wow.
