Review of Lord of War (2005) by William B — 29 Mar 2010
"It's warlord" "Thank you, but I prefer it my way" certainly a interesting quote from an interesting film.
Lord Of War shows the world of gun-running and in a way glamorises it but also shows the downside to being found out by your family and friends, and it's not pretty when you can't trust anyone.
The main theme as in many films is that it will never stop, if you kill one gun-runner another will take his place so it's just a cycle that will continue forever until people start trusting each other and stop making everything so complicated when really it's as easy as anything.
Another great performance from Cage and a surprising performance from Leto, Lord Of War is a film to open your eyes about wars in the world.
4/5.
