Review of Lord of the Flies (1991) by Martin D — 08 Apr 2010
A very interesting story. Although it's based on a book I've not read I really enjoyed it. A few people on here are saying it didn't stick very well to the book as is so common with book-film adaptations.
Psychologically it was very interesting and probably fairly accurate as to what might happen under the circumstances portrayed. Although it's not a masterpiece of film making by any means, it was still an entertaining and interesting watch.
I think some people study the original book by Harry Hook in English lessons. I wish I'd had this instead of Shakespeare. I found most of Shakespeares works to be fairly boring and quite similar in a lot of ways.
This is a different and intersting story, although I might be slightly bias being a bloke. It does make you wonder where you would fall on the island...
