Review of Lord of the Flies (1990) by James S — 21 Jul 2008
Decent adaptation of the popular we were made to read this in English class novel, that makes about as much sense as it's source material.
The young cast are all good showing the descent of pre-pubescents into savagery and the film certainly holds nothing back with it's brutal depiction which becomes ever more horrendous as the movie progresses.
The climax feels a little tagged on as if the film ran out of production time but overall this is a faithful telling of a timeless novel.
