Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Miguel C — 13 Aug 2008
This adaptation of William Golding's classic novel, is one of the best films ever made. Using a cast of unknowns in a real location (the island of Vieques), Brook tantalizes and disturbs: an intense work of cinema, that strips the story to its bare essentials and transports the viewer to experiment, fully, the ordeal of these proper, well-brought-up English boys.
A film to withstand the ages.
