Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Adrian B — 28 Nov 2010
One of the most famous novels of all time transformed from book to screen. Even though the movie cuts out a number of points from the book, it is still a grisly movie. An island were children are forlorn with no parent in site after, if I believe correctly, a plane crash into the waters of the shores.
I do admit it does cut out a significant portion of the book, but I did enjoy its disturbing plot, and surprisingly, I am one of the few who liked it better than the film version of "To Kill a Mockingbird.
