Review of Loose Change (2005) by Dave C — 14 Mar 2011
The citizens of the United States are so consumed with getting the truth out of what really happened on September 11th, 2001, it's alright, and we want to know who is responsible. Some people say it was the government, some say it actually was the Muslims of Iraq and Afghanistan, and some even say Iraq and Afghanistan had nothing to do with it. From my point of view, I hope it's not the government's doing because then we could never achieve peace in this world. If our nation's leader is behind the entire conspiracy behind September 11th, then that just says that the leader is not for peace and they don't want to help achieve it.
During the beginning of my viewing of the film Loose Change, I felt like this film had some good points that they made in trying to come up with the truth behind the 9/11 attacks. I really understood what the point of this film was and what the crew who helped with the film wanted to convey to its audience.
When it came to the middle of the film, I was overwhelmed with all the information they were shoving into our ears and our minds. They really buckled down on their research, data, and their backup to their ideas and beliefs.
Nearing the conclusion of the film, I simply renounced my devotion to having my eyes, ears, and open mind glued to the television screen playing the film. I still listened to what the film was reporting to the rest of the class and also comprehending it but at the same time, I was letting my mind reject it afterwards. I understood where they were coming from from the start of the film. I know what you want us to know and I respect your beliefs.
Loose Change 2nd Edition, as an eductional classroom type film, I give you a 60%.
