Review of Looper (2012) by Erik W — 24 Oct 2014
This violent tale of time travel and humanity was fantastic. Containing one of the most disturbing scenes used to provide context for its version of time travel, Johnson shocked me at just about every turn.
While I was able to guess the ending well before act 3 began, the effect was no less intense. The cast is stacked, the makeup/special FX (especially the makeup on JGL and weapon design) was great, and there is a solid Sci-Fi story to be told with some pretty horrifying implications.
Totally worth the watch and definitely a viable modern entry for you sci-fi/horror fans out there looking for something new.
