Review of Looper (2012) by Chinmay C — 17 Oct 2015
Looper is written and directed by Rian Johnson starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt. This movie takes place in the world where time travel has not been invented yet, however in future it has.
The wanted criminals who are to be executed are sent back in time and the Loopers execute them thereby erasing them from existence. JGL plays one of the Loopers named Joe and one day Bruce Willis playing Joe's future self is sent back in time to be executed by his younger self.
Now, Joe has to find and kill his future self which is very difficult for him because, for obvious reason, how can one kill himself. The plot of the movie is very interesting and original. Looper is probably the most original movie I have seen last year.
Rian Johnson did a brilliant job in directing this movie and the performances are absolutely brilliant, especially Joseph Levitt as younger Bruce Willis. This movie will fry your Brain with all the time travel stuff so to understand it completely you may have to watch it more than once, which is totally worth it because this movie is amazing and also one of my favorite movies of its year.
This movie is a must watch if you are a fan of sci-fi movies or movies in general.
