Review of Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003) by Tim W — 20 Nov 2013
Much better than Space Jam, although not much of a bar to raise. Everything with the Looney Tunes was great, but Brandon Fraser and Jenna Elfman were pretty terrible. Maybe they were being so on purpose and felt that was the right way to go for a campy atmosphere, but I take Bob Hoskins in Who Framed Roger Rabbit as the gold standard for acting with animated characters.
He was terrific and blended well with the toons, Fraser and Elfman don't. Steve Martin has the right idea, even if some of what he does doesn't work, but he's at least commiting to it.
