Review of Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003) by Jake G — 11 Sep 2007
Wow this movie is actually infinitely better then you would think. It is referential, intelligent, and self aware. Joe Dante is the friggin man and knows how to direct kids movies for adults with plenty of jokes that go above the kids' heads.
Jenna Elfman is a turd burglar as usually and Steve Martin should be hung but besides that the actors are having fun. Fraser looks like he is having a blast, Joan Cusack is enjoyable, Timothy Dalton is a hoot, and there is a great cameo by Roger Corman.
The best scene though is when Cartoon Shaggy and Scooby berate live action Matthew Lillard for ruining their good names. A fun movie for everyone.
