I have only been to the cinema once this year. This was the film! And I liked it. It's based in Manchester, my local city. It was a nice mix of kitchen sink and dream. One of the first films I saw after I moved to Manchester from France was Raining Stones, a Ken Loach film which was also based in Manchester.
Somehow this reminded me of it, not because it's similar, but because of the place connection. Eric Cantona is just as incomprehensible as ever, whether he speaks English or French!
