Review of Looking for Eric (2009) by John V — 15 Oct 2009

Though King Eric is my Hero and I was perched every match day on the edge of my sofa watching him with all my essence, I thought this would be crap. After watching it I was so happy that it turned out to be a real stunner.

A story that hits home to modern day Britain, if not Europe, told in a way that allows you to have sympathy for a character that seems without hope. Cantona gets to play a role that he really was made for but not how you would think.

It allows him to be his philisophical self yet also to play with thoughts of his past. A real triumph that becomes better and better as it goes on and leaves you feeling truly happy.
