It's like Nick Hornby's protagonists in "Slam" and "Fever Pitch" rolled into one , had an extended family of friends (instead of being a loner) and a stepson involved in gangs! The film surprised me with its warmth.
The acting and the directing is spot-on. The subtitles are good (they are checked/edited by Shu-Kei). I'd recommend this film to anyone with passing knowledge of football!
