Review of Looking for Eric (2009) by Laura B — 03 Dec 2010
A British postman is going through a mid-life crisis and, tottering on the brink of a breakdown, his football (soccer) idol, Eric Cantona, materializes by his side as a life coach. Although I had trouble with the Manchester accents, the main character's pain is vivid, and the support of his friends (and fellow football fans) is at turns both touching and funny.
Worth watching just to see their solution to the problem of the thug terrorizing his family.
