Review of Looking for Alibrandi (2000) by Anthony C — 10 Mar 2008
This was an enjoyable experience. However I felt it copped out on the emotional scenes that didn't really hit the high peak. And the grandmother and grandaughter relationship was meant to be the struggle of the story and yet I felt like they never really didn't get along. The chemistry between the two was always still very loving and I didn't see why they needed to bridge a gap.
I stand by my belief that Anthony Lapaglia is one of the most realistic actors out there. But the film was ok. Worth watching but hardly a masterpiece.
