Review of Look, Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman (2006) by Frank J — 16 Nov 2006
Excellent. Just about everything you need to know about the history of the "father of superheroes", how he has triumphed and fallen. The historical concerns of him cinematically, T.V. wise and his first run up in the comics medium to the eventual sky rocket as one of the world's most recognized figures of pop culture and one of the most symbolic stitch in the comics medium.
And it is presented in such a stylistic fashion. Gives you everything you need to know from interviews to archive footage and is not once boring. One of the most engrossing and fun documentaries I've ever watched and just like the character of Superman has had me whether being glued to the silver screen, or abosrbed by an issue from DC.
I like the fact how this movie touched on political issues that concerned America as well as the character of Superman. Plenty to devour on the mythological hero.
