Long Shot is tonally inconsistent, meandering, plodding, and makes a lot of incredibly cheap, uninspired, and unearned jokes. It would be a typical sub par rom com if it weren't for the unique and magnetic chemistry that Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron share on screen.
The two actors are surprisingly charming together. Other than that, this film is incredibly run-of-the-mill.
