Review of Long Life, Happiness and Prosperity (2002) by Paul C — 11 May 2010
I have mixed feelings for this movie, but it all turned out ok. The movie was in Chinese and English, but no subtitles. At first I was getting annoyed for I had no idea what they were saying. But I would say about 70% is in English and the rest in Chinese.
After watching I started to feel for the characters even though I did not understand what they were saying. The parts that were in English were really well done also. The story was pretty good and Valerie Tian is a cutie and played her part so well.
The story shows how a little spirituality can go a long way and it was fun to watch. Sandra Oh plays the mother and she also did a great job and at one scene you really feel her emotion. Nice movie.
