Review of Lonely Hearts (2006) by Bester L — 27 Jul 2008
Pseudomeditative, charmless, luridly violent retelling of the Raymond Fernandez / Martha Beck killing spree. As the detective chasing them, Travolta gives one of his "internalized" performances; he exudes all the tormented angst of a trailer hitch.
The fact that the movie was written and directed by the real-life grandson of Travolta's character kind of creeps me out.
