Oh Jared Leto <3<3<3!!! When a guy as gorgeous as he is decides to do a role where he needs to be bald and disgusting and still steals from me and "OMG YOU BE HOT!" that's when you know he did an excellent job, I give this one whole star because of him.

At first the movie felt forced and I thought "here we go... this is gonna suck" but by the middle of it I was seriously hooked with the whole story. Gandolfini's narration makes this even more delicate and enjoyable than it already is, reason why I give this half a star.

Travolta gives a nice performance, yet he doesn't shine, Leto was much more well thought-out than he was. Still, it is Salma Hayek who steals the screen out of everyone. Though Leto was perfect in his character, Salma was better, not only performance-wise, but character-wise hers was much more complex, another star for her alone.

The development of this story is very well done and smart, the way it ends is perfect, I mean, I'm tired of crime movies where the crime is never solved. but much more than the plot, it is the complexity of the characters that makes this so interesting.

The wardrobe of this movie was simply excellent, the make-up, the way this was perfectly set in the 50's was sublime, so that alone deserves a star and a half.
