A "chanbara" classic. Tomisaburo does an awesome job playing the stoic, yet possessed vengeance-seeking ex-shogunate executioner Ogami Itto. The opening sequence is unforgettable, and the six movies in the series are based on an even more awesome manga-comic series well worth reading.
