Review of Lone Wolf and Cub: Sword of Vengeance (1972) by Kingsley Z — 02 Apr 2008
For a bloody samurai flick, it actually has a lot of substance. The Lone Wolf and Cub films are kind of like the Japanese equivalent of a Sergio Leone western. Overall, there's a lot of beautiful imagery and a lot of blood.
Definitely had a direct influence on Kill Bill, although it's arguably better.
