Review of Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart in Peril (1972) by Wes M — 24 Jul 2012
This time, Lone Wolf and Cub battles a female assassin. Gee, I wonder if there will be boobs in this one. Or rather, more than usual haha. O, and you get some more backstory on Ogami's nemesis, Retsudo.
My friend and I thought this one was a little...weird. Like it might have had a bigger budget: there were more "chinese fighting styles"/acrobats, there was music during most scenes, and the movie starts right into the plot.
Usually, these movies dont get goin til at least 20 mins in (almost always starts out with random killing/duels). Or maybe it was just cuz they got a new director (Buichi Saito). OR, maybe we could just blame my parents' poopy tv.
Yea, I'll go with that last one.
