I am such an admirer of the book 'Lone Survivor', written by former U.S Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, and then a movie came out with the same title.

It was a fantastically made movie. Just watching it from the start, I was able to picture the following events the same way as I did when I read the book. It was. an incredible experience, especially for the scenes being well presented to follow the significant events of the book.

It doesn't focus, entirely, on everything that Luttrell has explained in the book, but it still focuses on what's significant about the book, and to the real events: 'Operation Red Wings.'.

The story is not presented in a clichèd way; it's definitely not a popcorn movie that's meant for nothing, but that sort of entertainment (because if it was I would 't be happy is I'm a true admirer of the book and that I can relate to what happened). As soon as the mission (Operation Red Wings) begins, from that point onwards the screenplay heads into the direction of emotional drama as the the four SEALS: Marcus Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg), Michael P. Murphy (Taylor Kitsch), Matthew Axelson (Ben Foster) and Danny Dietz ( Emile Hirsch) encounter an enemy of Taliban fighters who have more men and fire power.

The cinematography and sound mixing of this powerful fight are also terrific and the emotion caught up in it also stays true to the book.

This is definetly one of the best movies I've seen to be successively adapted from a powerfully written book, and one of the finest movies to present itself in an iconic way for the audience to relate to what the experiences of soldiers have been like in modern warfare. It also has fantastic performances from the four leads including Wahlberg, and a fine performance by Eric Bana, who appears briefly in a few scenes as the Commanding Officer of Operation Red Wings.
