Review of London Town (2017) by Carol N — 06 Oct 2016
I loved London Town. The casting is spot on. Great performances by Huddlestone, Rhys Meyers and McElhone, actually the entire cast. Borte does a great job of using 1979 London as a metaphor for the present US social climate, similar issues then and now.
The story is heartfelt and I really cared about the characters. Before the movie I was not a big Clash fan but now I am. Strummer's work really does deliver on the old saying that good art good art should illuminate our experience and tell the truth.
