Review of London Has Fallen (2016) by Richard S — 21 Oct 2016
Olympus has Fallen had a simple concept, it was Die Hard in The White House with the kind of added brutality and bone crunching violence you would expect from Bourne and 24. The follow up was entertaining enough for a fairly brainless action movie and at least it didn't go down the Taken route and soften down the violence for a family friendly audience.
We basically follow one man army Gerard Butler and BFF Mr President as they narrowly escape a large scale terrorist act and Mr President happens to be the only world leader who wasn't taken out by the baddies.
The other world leaders were all badly written caricatures of the faces we see in modern politics today and to be honest, their characters were laughable. Olympus is a movie I would go back to, this one was entertaining but will probably be forgotten.
