Review of London Boulevard (2010) by Scott G — 28 Nov 2010
Farrell comes off well here as a ex con fresh out of jail, but getting back in with the same crowd, wanting a way out. when showing his trough ways, hes given the oportunity to a job oportunity, a handyman/protector, for a famous actress also recluss lioving holed up in her london property, he takes this on board while waying up his options, but his criminal life comes back to him as local crime boss here played by ray winestione wants him workkiing for him, but trouble is about to start up.
all here play there parts well, farrell, doing english again after that woody allken film comes of nicely, as do everyone else, ben cxhaplin as his mate in on the crimes, winestone exewllent as usuall as the heavy, knightly as the actress at times beingf the weak link but makes it through, eddie marsen again showing what a greast charactor actor he can be, and david thewlis showing given the material, hes a force tro be wreckoned with, the story gets pulled along with a fantastic soundtrack, featuring which I believe thumping 60s tunes, throughout they add a lot to overall style, the story is well crafted at times, and althiough thinking to much about it towards ends you could nickpick, it never outdoes whats come before, a entertaining britfklick showcasing many talents.
