Review of Logan's Run (1976) by Brett H — 02 Feb 2014
Extremely dated sci-fi that is unintentionally hilarious at times, but always held my interest to see where it would go next. It is straight-up goofy at times and the future world they create is very Twilight Zone-feeling.
The special effects are quite good and full of imagination, as well as the set design, which impressed me the most. The story is pretty neat but once they meet a certain old man in the third act, all bets are off and his awkward delivery and goofiness had me laughing my ass off! There's a truly bizarre nightclub orgy-esque scene that piqued my interest and there's plenty of funny bits, but if you're a fan of retro sci-fi, it's quite the amusing time!
