Review of Logan's Run (1976) by Jhary O — 22 May 2010
Did I mention I love Dystopia movies?
This is a classic and one of VERY few I would not mind seeing re-made, only because I loved the book so much and am sure we can get away with a much darker version of tomorrow today. Catch that?
The performances ran the gamut from decent to outstanding (Peter Ustinov as the old man) and for the time period, the sets were quite cool - ah the nostalgic in me misses the old models and craft and care that went in to creating them.
The story is a timeless classic even though the book is far darker and the age for carousal was early to mid 20s and not 30 like in the movie. Anyway, if you have never seen it, grab some popcorn and enjoy.
