Review of Logan (2017) by Phil S — 19 Apr 2017
I've never been a big fan of Bryan Singer's overly-grounded interpretation of the X-Men universe, but if you're going for the more realistic approach, Logan fully embraces its gritty realism and drops any pretenses of trying to be a superhero movie anymore.
What we're left with is action that mostly feels like filler, but emotionally resonant performances from the cast largely make up for it, rounding out Logan to be about the best you could hope for as a final send-off to the series' most beloved characters.
