Review of Logan (2017) by Narm — 06 Mar 2021
Perhaps the greatest movie of all time, it blends the character history with a solid story and brings it all together without irritating exposition and it flows well leaving you with an empathic feeling and tiredness and longing for a small break for Logan.
Very few films can capture the true emotional aspects of family and suicidal ideation as well as this did. The way it brings the whole meaning to a depressed mans life when his only goal is to die is something that should be honoured and be respected for years to come.
Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart deliver absolutely perfect performances and Jackman in particular bring closure to everyone watching that it’s okay to move on and shows how everything can have a meaning in life, even when it can be destined to fail.
Dafne Keen as a newcomer shows immense talent by being able to keep up with the likes of Jackman and Stewart and still be expressive and deliver great messages with just her face and little speaking. This is a movie that has consequences that differ from typical superhero movies and movies in general, by showing that no matter the story the one and only consequence will be Logan getting the death he deserves and this could not have been done better.
