Review of Lockout (2012) by Jasper R — 02 May 2013
Guy Pearce does give a rather interesting and funny performance with his dialogue and performance in this film. However, this piece of cinema is rather shallow. The plot borrows a lot of things from its predecessors and does not do anything original or above average.
The plot isn't very sharp and there isn't relatively a lot of substance found in the romance. Just a sub-par film with one of the worst CGI chase action sequences I've ever seen. The conclusion was so laughably typical and predictable that it shed light to me exactly how typical and mediocre everything.
Granted, Pearce's performance was rather exceptional as well as Joseph Gilgun. Ultimately, a rather forgettable film that boons a low amount of zest and pleasure.
