Review of Lockout (2012) by Jc E — 13 Sep 2012
A solid Sci-Fi / Action premise that had the potential to be a great movie but instead was a bit of a disappointment. Guy Pearce's character delivers a record number of one-liners that become less funny and more repetitive as the 95 minutes of video progresses.
The film is plagued with unevenness in many ways. Some action scenes are well done and powerful. However, others are not. For example, one particular chase scene involving a motorcycle makes viewers wonder if a prankster spliced the video with someone playing a beta version of the latest Grand Theft Auto.
